We went up to my parent's lake cottage in Kewaunee this past weekend to celebrate the 4th of July and my niece, Lucy's first birthday! We had a great time and enjoyed taking a lot of pictures of the little ones.

The weather was beautiful and we really enjoyed being outside...well Milo enjoyed it in the shade at least.
Birthday Girl!
Here is Lucy with the birthday cake that Kim worked so hard on (with a little help from Aunt Kristin and Puppy). We had so much fun decorating it! I think Lucy enjoyed her first taste of pure sugar, although she was very gentle when we let her dig in! This is a classic Lucy face!

Is that a smile on Milo's face with the shades? Adorable!! And the sandales are so cute. Lucy is a cutie, and her B-Day sure looks like it was fun. Great job on the cake Kim.

What a blessing that these two will be able to grow up together! Milo is still a tiny one, but it won't be long until he figures out who Lucy is. He hardly ever cries, and he LOVES to eat! I love the red shades on July 4. Of course, being Eric's son, this boy is definitely going to be a stylin dude. Or should I say "dud"...Eric likes to call him a Milk Dud...he's such a good eater.
